Richtkreis 40.
Extremely rare late-war version of the Richtkreis. The much more common model was called the Richtkreis 31. This all-alloy version saw limited production towards the end of the war. The Richtkreis was an aiming circle and was used to lay anything that would be fired indirect (shooting without seeing the target), like artillery, mortars and even machine guns. This rare instrument was manufactured by cme, Gebrüder Wichmann, Berlin. It has a few issues, some missing screws and the height adjustment has lost it's teething. Optical clarity is about 70% (slightly grey). Compass and water-bubble works flawless. $ 400,-
